Residence Hirscher ( Iordache David House) is situated on Apollonia Hirscher Street, in the age of Straielor Fair, continuing the Fish Fair, that connected since the Middle Ages, the main market of the city and the Black Street, Castle Street today.
The evolution of the urban city shows that the street later on named Hirscher is part of the oldest area of the built citadel.Few medieval buildings in this part of the town have resisted the great fire o 1869. The oldest image of the building (drawing by Edward Hulverding 1848, preserved at the Museum of Art in Brasov), demonstrates that it had volume, shape and size of current construction.
The main facade of the building is characterized by symmetrical architectural elements and decorative motifs inspired by classical, complaining of a horizontal composition.


Brasov city is located in the central-eastern side of Romania, at the foot of mount Tampa ( 967m). Important indistrial, cultural and business center, Brasov has also an academic tradition.
